The main harvesting period for matsutake mushrooms is from mid-July to early September each year. Here matsutake mushrooms appear in major forests, attracting a large number of tourists to Shangri-La to come and taste them. Shangri-La's matsutake mushrooms are large, tender, flavourful and colourful.


Matsutake mushrooms can be eaten in a variety of ways, including stewed chicken with matsutake mushrooms, sashimi with matsutake mushrooms, grilled matsutake mushrooms, and pan-fried matsutake mushrooms with butter.


Matsutake mushrooms can be combined with local chickens to make matsutake mushroom stewed chicken, which is full of fresh flavour, nutritious and delicious;


Fresh matsutake mushrooms can also be stir-fried with green peppers for a refreshing flavour.
