Naizi River Wetland

Naizi River Wetland: Starting from the tourist center, take a car and turn the first corner to enter the highway. The east side of the highway is the Naizi River Wetland, and the best scenic spot is located next to the Naizi River White Pagoda. Naizi River is the mother river of Shangri La and also the place where local Tibetans obtain holy water for Buddha. Three hundred years ago, after the passing of the Sixth Dalai Lama, due to the invasion of the Mongolian Heshuote tribe, the spiritual child of Gesangjiacuo (the Seventh Dalai Lama) took refuge in the Songtsen Forest. The monks and the people placed him by the small river next to the temple and provided him with the most delicious food and yak milk every day. The spiritual child was grateful and sprinkled milk on the water source every day, praying that this water source would turn into milk, promoting Buddhism and promoting life. From then on, the river became even sweeter and clearer, and it was named Naizi River.
